Glassy Grip - Porter Barnes
Who would have thought
Out on the seven seas
That toss around great ships like tiny fleas
One could pass
A beautiful sea calm like glass
Although we're stuck
The calming sea
Brings out some happiness in me
I love to swim in the deep
But I pray, up to me no fish shall creep
Who would have thought
By the end of that same day
The wind would come to change its way
Or that in practically a flash
Some waves would come on deck to crash
Even though the sea is rough
I must admit I do prefer
The filled up sail to the motors purr
Now we race away at an incredible speed
And from the glassy grip we are freed
This is great Porter!!
