Up There – Jack Barnes
I look around
On this warm night
Above the ground
A pretty sight
I know I will
Never fall
Everything is quite still
When I fly I seem so small
I like to soar
Above the trees
I want no more
Than to fly, please
With the birds
I like to go
We glide in herds
Never to slow
I need to rest
I'm off to roost
Sleeping high is best
To fall asleep to owls' hoots
When I wake up
I feel so down
Airborne I'm not
I'm on the ground
I had been
Dreaming away
I feel so grimI wish I could have stayed
