Grass Around Rock, Green Around Castle

The spirit not fall
Grass around rock
Green around castle
Of Moidart Loch
Neat straight stone wall
That stand against all

But inside old work crumble
Grass around rock
Green around castle
Of Moidart Loch
And what was a rumble
Is now just a mumble

But the ruins show what used to be
Grass around rock
Green around castle
Of Moidart Loch
Once this bustled with activity
But now it is as still as can be

The air filled with Erie sound
Grass around rock
Green around castle
Of Moidart Loch
On the floors green weeds are found
And some stone has fallen down

Yet still it's dominant to the eye
Grass around rock
Green around castle
Of Moidart Loch
And above still remains the sky
And more castle days may pass by

Grass around rock
Green around Castle
Of Moidart Loch

This is a poem about a Scottish Castle in Moidart Loch, as you can probably tell.
I am standing in the doorway to a part of the Castle. In the foreground is the tiny courtyard.
This is a tree growing inside a room of the castle.
This is Moidart Castle as we left the loch.
I am standing with the Castle behind me.
As you can see, lush green landscape grows around the Castle.
It looms above us on the hill.
We went on a hike, and  we took this picture of Sila and the Castle.
I was inspired to write this poem because I thought the castle was really cool because it was fun to be in the same place where a Lord or a person from the medieval times was. It was interesting to engage with something from the past. In addition, lush, green, tree-covered hills surrounded the loch and the castle. Even without the castle, it would have been a beautiful place. -JackRabbit
