Now, in Ushuaia we met them again. They are tied alongside
Sila, so we see them often. We have had dinner with them a couple times and we
have gotten to know them better. Wietze had an amazing life before this sailing
adventure. He was the chief engineer on a Dutch submarine for a while and he
helped build big yachts so he knows a lot about boats and tells a lot of
interesting stories. I think the reason Daddy gets along with him is because
they spend a lot of time talking about boats and how to run the complicated
systems.

Janneke is exuberant but not overly so. She has fun engaging with me
and Porter and loves to share her experiences but she also asks about and
listens to us when we share our experiences. After a few brief conversations,
we were friends because we enjoyed their company.
Mixing mayonnaise in their galley
The whole event was highly
enjoyable in part because Janneke was very eager to show us how to make it.
When the main ingredients were in the bowl, we tasted a little, decided it was
too sweet, made some adjustments and tasted it again. After a few more samples
and additions, the mayonnaise was delicious. And the best part was that we had
made it together. For lunch today, we ate the bread I had made along with Janneke's muffins and mini-calzone rolls, which were filled with salami, garlic and cheese. Delicious! I am hoping that we will see these two Dutch people again somewhere else in the world, in some strange place. - Jack Rabbit

We played two Connect 4 Tournaments with Wietze and Janneke. I won one and Wietze won the other. It was pretty fun.
