I go on deck for some fresh air before eating something.I am lucky if I get to eat eggs or something Daddy cooks (Mama doesn't get up for breakfast because it is her time to sleep since she does the midnight to 4 am watch) but more often, I have cereal or I make myself some Ramen.
Then with Porter, I play with the k'nex,a building toy that includes different length shafts that clip into other pieces. We like to build planes, boats and other vehicles.
At some point in the time between 9:00 and noon, we do 30 minutes of math class. Porter and I sit down at the table and do math problems in our books. Daddy helps us when we need it.
Once we are done with math and maybe some other school work, like writing or reading about Chile , we play the game Hippo ball. Hippo ball is a game Porter and I invented. We have a paper ball that we bounce on our hands before hitting it at the wall. We defend the wall as well. This fun activity passes much of the time to lunch. It is called hippo ball because the ball has the face of a hippo. We play this in the bed in the forward cabin, which is a double. We play against each other like a competition; the winner is the person who can make the hippo ball hit the back wall the most.
After lunch and crew meeting, which is when we all check in to make sure everything is going well and to discuss any logistics, I start my watch. This is when I make sure we are on course, watch the wind speed, and make sure the boat is generally okay. In the afternoon, Mama, Porter and I listen to a couple of chapters of one of the books of Harry Potter. Then we have dinner, do the boat to bed list(which are the tasks to ready the boat for the night...)and then Porter and I listen to a couple more chapters of Harry Potter and maybe a podcast . Sleepy and tired we go to bed. If you want to know what happens the next day, just read this again. - Jack Rabbit
