Waiting in Bayona, Spain for the right weather to sail to Lisbon gave us ample time to explore this sweet little coastal town made famous by Christopher Columbus's Pinta.
While this picture was
taken in Bayona, it could be anywhere. Every single time we go for a
walk, the boys become warriors and pick up sticks to be swords or spears or
guns or canons or lances...
Just your typical beach access stairs. Seriously, these steps went from the fort at the head of the harbor down to the beach where there was a tidal swimming pool- a rock wall that helped to collect sea water at high tide and hold it there until the next high tide.
Porter and Jack have become experts when it comes to finding playgrounds in Europe. Here you see them on the type of swing that they hope to find at every one.
With every new boat, there are many little kinks to work out. Thankfully, we have Christopher!
And here is Jack, helping to clean and check the bilge.
