Mud, glorious mud...
Not all dry-out anchorages
are created equal! We found ourselves walking through serious mud that
threatened to steal our boots as we tried to get ashore on Isle d'Brehat. It
was worth it, though, as the island is extraordinary. No cars but some of the
most beautiful stone houses and manicured gardens we have seen yet. We were all
struck by the number and variety of flowering bushes and hedges. And both boys
noted that nearly everything on Brehat was older than all of the United States. - Molly
