Knots

Knots - JackRabbit

Knots are now a big part of our life
Sila has a lot
And everywhere my head turns
There seems to be a knot

Before I never noticed that
We often tie and see
I guess that living on a boat
Calls the knots to be

The elegant turks head knot
Is a really pretty tie
Napkin rings are a common use
They're quick to catch your eye

On jackets we need zipper pulls
And if you wonder how they're made
They are tied as types of sinnets
The equivalent of a braid

To tie our fenders and our lines
We use the good clove hitch
It ties a line to stay, pole or rope
It doesn't matter which

The door is held, at just a crack
With a line and lanyard too
And rope holds the toilet paper
Stationed near the loo

There is a knot at every turn
For on a boat we use them lots
When we can, we use rope and line
On Sila we love our knots.
