Ode to Chile

Ode to Chile - Jack Rabbit

Do my school I am forced,
until I've written my hand hoarse.
But now all I have got
is two minutes then I've done the lot.
I stow away my math textbooks,
and sit up right to take a look.
We sail through the Chilean fjords,
cliffs and mountains where my eyes are lured.
The sun is out unlike most days
and the water glitters in its rays.
Between Sila and the shores
gracefully swooping, the albatross soars.
But over there, across the sound,
trees and granite can be found.
Cliffs and slopes along its face
sit commandingly, though with grace.
What I do, I can delay
to look upon the amazing Chile.
