Galapagos-Easter Island Passage Day 5

New from s/v Sila - We have begun our fifth day of close reaching on the port tack, just now we are humming along at 7 knots in mild seas. Now that we all have sea legs and hearty appetites we have had a strong few days on the culinary front. Two nights ago Molly made a perfect deep dish pizza with a golden brown crust and an abundance of roasted garlic cloves and bacon lurking inside. Yesterday morning the boys landed a nice (20+") Mahi-mahi, so lunch was grilled fish over rice with a freshly minced homemade salsa. The bananas hanging throughout the boat, all green when we departed the Galapagos, are all ripening at the same time, so the banana ration has been increased significantly. Celebrations of Molly's birthday were successful, including a deluge of presents! All is well.

Cheers - Christopher, Molly, Pete, Porter, & Jack
