After living in Leadville for 18 years and taking other
people' children on great adventures, we decided it a time for an adventure of
our own (actually been planning for this for 7+ years). On June 19, the four of
us (Christopher, Molly, Porter and Jack) flew to Paris, took a train to Rennes,
took another train to Guingamp, drove a rental car to Treguier and stepped
aboard Sila for the first time as a family. Our plans from this point forward
are rather vague. We know that we will need to be near Treguier for a few more weeks
as we get to know Sila and work out the various kinks. You need a few weeks to
shake down a brand new boat. Sila is a 47 foot, cutter rigged, aluminum hull
with a centerboard sailboat made by Boreal. – Molly
