Like a statue
The cormorant stares
I hold my breath
For a movement
It finally leaps
From the dock
Through the air
In an arc
Neck out stretched
The cormorant hits
The still water
Like a knife
It comes up
The bird
Holds a fish
In its beak
I had felt the moment
Of satisfaction
When the cormorant
Caught the minnow
